Your new role
The Drug Substance Operations (DSO) department is where Clinical Trial Material (CTM) is produced for cutting edge vaccines that are in clinical phase testing Phases 1-3. The DSO production process is at pilot scale (50L) and is carried out by two main teams: I-team (USP) & D-team (DSP). We are looking for an Assistant Scientist DSP who will mainly be responsible for the cGMP production of the CTM material, as requested by the organisation. Alongside production operations you will also be involved with updating documentation, be responsible for predefined process steps, and the state of related equipment. Furthermore, small improvements and innovative projects will be a stable part of your daily work. You will also be tasked to do data management, acute problem solving, and many other small and diverse tasks.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate holds a MBO / HBO degree in Microbiology, Life Science or equivalent, with 2 years (or more) working experience with cGMP manufacturing. Experience as a process technician or equivalent in life science for a pilot plant operations in a cGMP environment is preferred. You have a quality focused mindset with excellent communication skills in English. You are an efficient worker and always put quality first. You work on initiative and always seek out potential solutions yourself. You have a can-do attitude and are an innovative thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to be able to provide and receive feedback in a constructive way.

What you'll get in return
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. At this position, you will get a competitive salary and your travel expenses are covered. Visa sponsorship cannot be provided.
