As part of our ambitious growth plans we are expanding our manufacturing and assembly capacity into Europe and are setting up a new high throughput plant (HTP) in the Rotterdam area. In close collaboration with our global teams we will be producing our next generation of satellites in state-of-the-art facilities.These satellites will be instrumental to our goal of building an accurate and up-to-date picture of our world and the many forces that reshape it every day.
About the team
You will be a part of the Electronics team. The team is responsible for the implementation of all electronic devices of our satellites, for the definition of design standards of the company and the delivery of fully tested devices.
You will be reporting to the Team Leader of Electronic Engineering, as well to the Project Manager of your assigned module.
The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.
Great Rotterdam area or remote work from anywhere between UTC-5 and UTC+3 time zones. Satellogic’s office locations include Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Montevideo, Cordoba (ARG)
About the position
As an Electronics Engineer, your main responsibility will be to make sure that the electrical components are being delivered in time and according to our quality standards. Together with the rest of the team you will also continuously improve our production processes. Further responsibilities:
Implement harnessing solutions for electronic devices.
Review changes in the satellite hardware and verify harnessing consistency.
Interact with harnessing suppliers to define requirements and work with the AIT facility to review the final quality of delivered products.
Identify opportunities for improvement of existing satellite designs.
Keep up with new technology trends to bring new ideas to the team.
Participate in the definition and improvement of the team guidelines.
You are passionate about spaceflight and thrive in a dynamic environment which can have tight deadlines.
Bachelor/Master in Electronics or relevant Engineering degree
Minimum of 2 year experience as an engineer in any electrical component or process in a cleanroom environment
Use of scripting languages for automating complex processes
Preferable experience in electronics alignment and integration
Fluent in English; Dutch/Spanish would be a plus
Experience within Aerospace industry would be a plus
