Your new role
We are searching for a motivated Health and Safety officer to join MSD Oss. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing Microbiology and AVA. They will also be responsible for Inventory Hazardous Substances (IGS), evaluating biosafety risks, supervising management of changes (MoC) on site. In addition, performing the RI&E and RAM for the department, as well as assigning and checking EHS training and preparing and overseeing the site bio-risk management programme. Furthermore, this person will ensure all training programs in the field of (bio)safety are compliant and adjusts them if they are not. They will also serve as a member of the site biosafety committee, helping to identify, evaluate and define controls of potential biohazards, including storage, handling and disposal as needed. Finally, you will support program management, development, implementation and compliance verification.

What you'll need to succeed
BSc in Life Sciences with some experience working with Biosafety, GMOs and safety aspects in a microbiology lab. Ideally this person would have 2+ years previous working experience in an ML2 environment. We are open to consider less depending on experience. Good communication skills in English and Dutch required as a lot of the documents are in Dutch and a good command is required. In addition, sufficient knowledge of MS Office programs is also needed.
