As part of our ambitious growth plans we are expanding our manufacturing and assembly capacity into Europe and are setting up a new high throughput plant (HTP) in the Rotterdam area. In close collaboration with our global teams we will be producing our next generation of satellites in state-of-the-art facilities.These satellites will be instrumental to our goal of building an accurate and up-to-date picture of our world and the many forces that reshape it every day.

About the team
The Engineering team develops and reviews the production layouts in order to increase productivity and quality standards. The main duties include reviewing current production schedules and processes to find potential improvements, designing the layouts of the facilities and estimating production costs.The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the large diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.

About the position
As an Industrial engineer you will be analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiency, and ensuring that final products meet the required quantity and quality standards within the given time
Location: Greater Rotterdam/ Delft Area.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.
  • Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
  • Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
  • Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.
  • Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
  • Designing the layout of facilities and determining the associated personnel requirements.
  • Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.
  • Managing process documentation and preparing production reports.
  • Optimize product flow and efficiency by designing or improving tools, jigs, stations, work methods and ergonomics using the LEAN methodology.


About you
Experience and skills
  • Academic qualification in industrial engineering or other engineering disciplines with at least 5 years relevant work experience in industrial engineering.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a systems assembly environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Tools, MS Office and CAD-related programs.
  • Our global company language is English, so excellent English skills are essential.
  • Implementation and the application of LEAN / Six Sigma production concepts.
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 requirements
