Your new Role
As a Junior Strategic Sourcer you are going to work for the IT support organisation and be involved with all IT Procurement services (both Hardware and software). In this role you will be part of the Benelux team and are going to work closely with the IT organisation and the business.

Key responsibilities
  • Actively participate to the Strategic sourcing activities (from business demand until the contract signature), support the procure to pay and the software management activities
  • Realization of stakeholder management to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement’s value contribution
  • Act as point of contact for the business to collect and manage business sourcing demand and assure business requirements are met
  • Negotiate contracts with support from Legal
  • Lead tender execution and drive fact based negotiations
  • Strive to meet the mutually agreed Procurement targets contributing to the overall budget targets
  • Follow-up on the use of externals consultants by the business


Your profile
Key Requirements / skills/ experience
  • From 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar Procurement role
  • University degree (in Business, Economics, or similar) required or equal by experience
  • Languages: fluent English, written and spoken, French and/or Dutch will be appreciated

Desired requirements/ skills
  • Proactive attitude, sense of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage different topics at the same time
  • Ability to communicate and present in a convincing and structured way
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to different stakeholders on all hierarchical levels and build trusted relationships to influence demand


About the organisation
Our client is a large international insurance company. The entity you will be going to work is a dedicated support organisation to the large insurance company.

What you will get in return
Beside of an good salary package you will get the opportunity to participate in the full process from sourcing to negotiating till the contract is signed. These are large complex contracts where you will participate in every step of the process. You will get the possibility to work 3/4 days from home and 1-2 days in the office in Rotterdam.
