A look into the life of a Principal Quality Engineer

  • You participate in development teams being responsible for assessing the intrinsic reliability in new products, packages, and processes developments (GaN or LDMOS)
  • You determines the relevant qualification and reliability strategies based on application-specific mission profiles for new product introduction and for changes in manufacturing
  • Own dedicated RF lifetime tools: define and execute electrical characterization, train the reliability technicians who executes the product qualification. Align with suppliers on improvement roadmap.
  • You proactively prevent reliability hazards through Reliability FMEA and Risk assessment for Failure Mechanism by executing thorough risk-analysis on the development of complex product/process/package with knowledge of structural similarity rules and applicable quality specifications to translate this to a qualification strategy
  • You analyze and conclude on failures in reliability testing in cooperation with failure & material analysis
  • You lead or participate in cross-department 8D/CAT and improvement teams to solve reliability issues or to further improve the quality of our products
  • You develop the associated project management plan, monitor, control and report on project activities and quality
  • You actively seeks reliability requirements for technologies to be developed by Ampleon based on existing and future customer requirements and translates these requirements in verifiable quality and reliability requirements through qualification plan meeting customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Keeping knowledge of innovative technical developments in the relevant areas up to date following trends in industry and interacting with leading universities and institutes

Your profile
  • Master’s in physics or Electronics/Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5-year experience
  • Knowledge on IC reliability physics and product qualification
  • Expert knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, 6-Sigma, DoE, 8D etc)
  • Familiar with device physics and device characterization
  • Analytical thinker, problem solver
  • Good organizational and project leader skills, high level of independence
  • Team worker with good communication skills in English
  • Strong in communication, interaction, presentation, and reporting
  • Flexible in working off-office hours to assure realizing commitments
