Your new role For one of our AAA rated clients we are currently on the lookout for a Purchasing Project Manager. In this role you will be responsible to manage all related purchasing activities within a cross-functional development team of new products. You will have the responsibility of coordinating all purchasing activities during product development process and to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met. You will be the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising during product development process. You strive to maintain the progress, mutual interaction and tasks in such a way that the risk of overall failure is reduced, benefits are maximized and costs minimized. As a strategic partner within the Development process of new products, Purchasing Engineer ensures an On-Time SOP at Target cost by offering excellent project management. You will work inside the Purchasing Engineering Department and in close co-operation with Project Management and R&D. You will report directly to the local Purchasing Engineering manager.
In order to be succesfull in this role you are in possession of a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. In addition you have strong knowledge of purchasing technical components, (e.g. mechanical parts, electronics, electro mechanics) systems and manufacturing processes. On a personal level you are someone who has a passion for purchasing and has the desire to excel in your field of work. You have the ability to motivate others and have a strong personality with good analytical skills.
