Your new role
As a Sourcing Associate you will be working at the Clinical Immunology Support Team. This team is responsible for the outsourcing strategy and contracting for Immuno assays for our Vaccine programs. They focus on building good relationships with Immuno labs and collaboration with other divisions within Clinical Immunology to successfully outsource activities. In addition the group is responsible for feasibility and qualification of clinical sample laboratories (SPLs) as requested by the Global Clinical Operations department (GCO) and supports the sample logistics.
In this role you will manage the realization of vendor contracts in a timely manner and function as Point of Contact for vendors. Therefore it’s important to build and maintain internal and external network. Furthermore you will be responsible to perform qualification of Sample Processing Labs. This could include review data, request training or five on-site training in isolating PBMCs (peripheral blood cell). Next to this you will assess the feasibility of Sample Processing Labs which will be selected for PBMC isolation on clinical samples for cellular testing. Basic knowledge or sample requirements for clinical trials is needed. Finally you will provide support in giving trainings to personnel on PBMC isolation, process improvement, support process of RFP (request of proposal), process improvement, participating in technical or vendor visits and budget process.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you obtain a Bachelor degree in Life Sciences with at least 2 years of relevant work experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector of a Contract Research Organization (CRO). During your career, you have gained experience to communicate to several stakeholders and you are familiar with vendor management. Furthermore you are able to manage a wide package of responsibilities. Experience with clinical trials and or affinity with project management is a plus. If you have knowledge of PBMC is considered as a very strong advantage.
As a person you are ambitious to accomplish your goals and to obtain a clear sight of all processes related to vendor management. You are a communicative, reliable and hardworking person with the capability to innovate processes. You have excellent communication skills in English in which Dutch will be seen as an advantage. Next to this, you are flexible to travel on occasion for not more than 4 times per year.

What you'll get in return
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. At this position, you will get a competitive salary and your travel expenses are covered. Visa sponsorship cannot be provided.
