Your new role
As a Technician Protein Sample Management you will be part of the Antibody Research Materials department. Four closely connected teams focus on fueling the companies’ discovery pipeline by supplying the base elements for the projects: the research materials. Their challenge is to deliver these at predictable and fast timelines and high user-friendliness. This vacancy is part of the Protein Sample Management team. This team is responsible for releasing protein batches after data review, receiving and managing the research material inventory, distributing the antibodies internally as well as organizing shipping to external partners.
In your role, you will be responsible for:
- reviewing experiments of a wide range of modern biochemical techniques in several simultaneous projects;
- reporting and releasing the batch to the inventory;
- maintaining the inventory and issuance of samples to the requesters;
- contributing to the optimization and innovation of our team;
- working closely with scientists and other research associates in multiple project teams.
To be successful as a Technician Protein Sample Management you ideally have a Bachelor in Life Sciences. Alternatively, if you have either MLO education with 2 years of experience or if you have a Master’s degree with relevant internship experience, we also invite you to apply.
We are looking for someone with knowledge of the most commonly used biochemical analysis techniques like Capillary Electrophoresis and Analytical Chromatography. It will be considered an advantage if you are also familiar with software, automation and data handling. Dutch is not mandatory for this position. Good English skills (both written & verbal) are a must. As a person, you are able to work with tight deadlines and run several tasks in parallel and adjust priorities appropriately. You are motivated by delivering high-quality output and are used to working according to a quality system. You have a high level of attention to detail, with regards to handling data and documentation, and you work accurately (also under pressure).

The company has been active for almost 25 years and they now have over 1000 people working for them. Their headquarters are in Denmark and next to this office, they have sites in the US, Japan and the one in Utrecht that you might join!
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 6 months through Hays. As a Technician Protein Sample Management you will get a competitive salary and your travel expenses will be covered. Please note that visa sponsorship cannot be provided.
At this company, they have a hybrid working policy in place where you will be expected on site for 3 days per week and are allowed to work from home 2 days a week. They also offer flexible hours, you can work anytime between 7am and 8pm.
